My guess is there could be a few weeks of 1-sided stupidity leading up to that little scene.

An update. The crew turned out to be a recent high school grad who is starting a landscaping business. I'm not his first client, but I can tell he's still learning the process. Overall him and his guys worked hard on the job (re-jointing about a million brick pavers in the front yard and back), which was nice. I had to give him a few pointers on how to level the pavers and they applied the sealant too early which caused some issues, but overall it's better than what it was. Lesson learned on my part, though. Rookie mistake. They almost finished the job but needed to come back to finish a few spots in the backyard and seal, but I paid them the full balance after the first day. I'm sure they will be back (probably even today) but lesson learned never to pay the full amount until the job is 100% done as there is the random risk they just flee the job unfinished.

@Axtremus Hypersonic missiles in Cuba. China and Taiwan. The current state and prognosis of the Ukraine War. The possibility of open war between Israel and Iran. A reversal of election integrity in Minnesota. Etc., etc., etc. That's just everyday news. Or is there something else?

Great camera work too, btw. And video editing. Yeah @taiwan_girl looks like his original idea was to do this so he could get a job (which I'm sure will not be hard... wouldn't be surprised if Elon emails him directly and hooks him up), see the about page: https://bps.space/pages/about Good stuff.

@89th said in Shapiro vs Swalwell: "Farewell to Arms is ummm, a great book, about one man's journey to say goodbye to his gun collection. People aren't sure who wrote the book, but many people have said it has changed their lives. The end." My presentation: Farewell to Arms: An Amputees tale.

@Copper said in Biden to nominate Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to Supreme Court: Today's big Ketanji news is that she is unable to define what is a woman. She was asked for her definition during today's hearing. Her answer: no, I'm not a biologist. Tucker is all over it. On related note: Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) voted with Republicans on Thursday to block the nomination of Judge Sarah Netburn, who garnered significant controversy after ruling a transgender woman convicted of sex crimes should be transferred to a federal women’s prison. It marked a rare instance of a Democrat breaking with the majority to bottle up one of President Biden’s judicial nominees in committee. Netburn came under sharp criticism from Republican senators after she told Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee, that she didn’t know whether it is possible to determine a person’s sex by analyzing their chromosomes. When asked about determining sex by chromosomal analysis, the nominee told Graham, “I have never studied biology and therefore I am unqualified to answer this question.” https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/senate/3078046/biden-judicial-nominee-transgender-rapist-case-rejected-senate/

Nope. But I don't know of a country store down here I can't walk into and not be able to buy shotgun shells and rifle bullets.

@LuFins-Dad said in Firings at CBS: Really? She could have gone to any number of more independent journalists… Weiss, Taibbi, and such… But instead she goes Tucker? Thought the same thing. Supposedly she has a stellar reputation for being a dogged reporter. Gotta wonder why she left Fox a few years ago. Money or ideology.

My only concern is I wonder how many people would view that as a four day weekend for trips. You take the Monday and there you go, 4 days vacation. I've heard some people vacation on Memorial Day instead of recognize our fallen heroes, for example.

I think they’d get more support if they defined what exact changes they wanted to make. I’m at least encouraged that someone is trying to do this the right way rather than by fiat.
